Zygonaut

Zygonaut is the techno project of Shakthi Prasad KT, an Indian DJ and producer based in Berlin.
Shakthi started out playing drums in progressive rock and metal bands across India, and that background still has a big influence on how he plays. Zygonaut is focused on hypnotic, minimal and tribal techno: rolling grooves, lots of percussion and tracks that are given time to develop rather than constantly chasing the next peak.
After completing a master's degree in music, with a focus on sound design and electronic composition, Shakthi became active in Valencia's music scene before moving to Berlin. He has since played at Fusion Festival, KitKatClub, Crack Bellmer, Bulbul, Prisma Bar and Mom's Limousine Service, as well as independent parties and open airs.
He also runs Mindscape, a Berlin-based music and arts community, and has worked as an assistant mix engineer on projects involving Snarky Puppy, Bokanté and Michael League.
Zygonaut is the side of his music made for the later hours: deep, rhythmic and hypnotic, with enough space to get properly lost in it.
